Vol. 116 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Beara Peninsula Road Works.

asked the Minister for Local Government if, in view of the present economic situation in the Beara Peninsula, he will ensure that road works will continue in this area, and that he will have work commenced under the Local Authorities (Works) Bill as soon as possible after it becomes law.

I understand that the current year's programme of road works in this area is in full progress. Arrangements are being made to have works under the Local Authorities (Works) Bill put in hands as early as practicable after the Bill becomes law.
