Vol. 116 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Salaries of Pension Committee Clerks.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare whether he has received representations regarding the remuneration of clerks of old age pension committees and sub-committees, and whether it is proposed to sanction any increase for these officers.

It has been decided to increase to 60 per cent, over the 1939 level the amount available in each pension committee area for the salaries of clerks of old age pension committees and sub-committees.

The decision, which will take effect from 1st April, 1949, will be communicated to the clerks concerned as soon as possible.
