Vol. 116 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Postmen as Public Representatives.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs whether he is aware that postmen may be members of local authorities other than county councils; and if he will state why they may not be members of county councils.

Postmen are not permitted to become members of county councils as a result of a decision taken in 1934 which has not since been reconsidered.
