Vol. 116 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Erection of Transmission Line.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if a survey of the transmission line from Killarney via Kilgarvan to Kenmare and Bantry is yet complete and when the work of erecting it is likely to start.

I am informed by the Electricity Supply Board that the 38kv transmission line between Bantry and Killarney, passing close to Kilgarvan and within seven miles of Kenmare, has been surveyed. The board hopes that erection of this line will commence within a month, and engineers are at present marking out pole positions on the site.
