Vol. 117 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Inchicore Telephone Service.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs whether he is aware that a number of residents in the Inchicore district have for some years been awaiting the installation of the telephone service; and, if so, whether he will state the cause of the delay and whether he can give any indication as to when such services will be installed.

The provision of telephone service for waiting applicants in the Inchicore district is held up awaiting completion of an extensive main underground cabling scheme. This scheme is now well advanced and it is hoped to commence providing telephones in the area in September.
