Vol. 117 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Gortnascarry Bridge.

asked the Minister for Local Government whether he is aware that the old Gortnascarry bridge which spanned the Gaddagh river on the Beaufort-Killorglin road is now almost completely broken down; and, if so, whether he will state what steps are being taken to have a new bridge erected.

This bridge was damaged by floods last December and a consulting engineer has been appointed to prepare a preliminary report and estimate for the work. I understand that the council are awaiting his report.
