Vol. 117 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Donegal Slips.

asked the Minister for Finance if he can state when it is proposed to commence work on repairs of slips and landing stages at Malinmore and Malinberg, County Donegal, which are urgently needed by inshore fishermen.

An offer of a grant of 75 per cent. of the cost of the works required at Malinmore was issued to the county council on 13th June, but no reply has so far been received. If the county council accept the terms of the grant at once, it should be possible to start this work in the near future.

As regards Malinbeg, the engineer's plan, specification, and estimate have now been prepared; but even if all the preliminaries could be completed without delay, it would not be possible to have the works put in hand this year.
