Vol. 117 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Bus Fares—Maximum Distances.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will indicate the maximum distances which passengers are carried for each of the following fares in the Cities of (a) Dublin and (b) Cork:—2d., 3d., 4d.

The maximum fares which may be charged on omnibus services are set out in the Road Transport Act, 1932, Regulations, 1949. S.I. No. 64 of 1949.

The rate prevailing on Dublin City services has always been lower than elsewhere. The fares on each route are fixed according to the various stages and it is not possible to give information in the form desired by the Deputy.
