Vol. 117 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Kilsallaghan Telephone Service.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs whether he is aware that telephone subscribers resident in the Kilsallaghan area are cut off at 8 p.m. until 8 a.m.; and, if so, whether he will consider giving them a twenty-four hour service.

The hours of service at Kilsallaghan are the standard hours at exchanges with less than ten subscribers. The provision of continuous service at Kilsallaghan or other exchanges of similar size cannot be favourably considered at present. In the case of the exchange at Kilsallaghan, there are only eight subscribers.
