Vol. 117 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Disability Pension of Married Soldier.

asked the Minister for Defence whether it is a fact that a married soldier who whilst on indefinite leave becomes disabled and is discharged, is granted a disability pension on the scale applicable only to single men, and, if so, whether he proposes to take steps to have this anomaly ended.

The position is as indicated by the Deputy. The Army Pensions Bill at present before the House contains an amendment to regularise the position.
