Vol. 118 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Agricultural Instructors' Salaries.

asked the Minister for Agriculture whether it is intended that county committees of agriculture shall be responsible for the payment of the salaries of agricultural instructors whom it is proposed to appoint under the parish plan set out in his circular letter of 14th April, 1949.

The proposal is that the salaries of the existing agricultural instructors whose services may be lent to my Department under the scheme referred to will continue to be paid by the committees of agriculture and that the additional instructors needed will be appointed, and their salaries paid, by my Department.
