Vol. 118 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Amounts Sanctioned for Local Works.

asked the Minister for Local Government whether he will state the amount of money requested by Dublin County Council from his Department for the purpose of carrying out works under the Local Authorities (Works) Act, 1949, and the amount which has been sanctioned; and if he will also give similar details in respect of Counties Louth, Meath, Kildare, Wicklow and Cavan.

I would refer the Deputy to the reply given to his question on the 27th October, 1949, which gives the information he desires. Since then an intimation has been received that Meath County Council propose to submit additional works to the value of £30,189 for execution in the current financial year. It has been intimated on behalf of Wicklow County Council that it is desired to revise the estimate for one scheme and to carry out one other not previously submitted. The total amount applied for by Wicklow County Council may therefore be taken as being £92,598.
