Vol. 118 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Increase in Licence Fees.

asked the Minister for Finance how many publicans in County Dublin have had their licence fees increased as a result of the revaluation carried out during the past 18 months.

Increased licence duty has become payable in 108 cases in County Dublin (excluding the Borough of Dún Laoghaire) following upon increases in the valuation of publicans' premises which came into operation on or after 1st March, 1948.

Is the Minister aware that the increase in certain cases is up to £200?

No, I am not.

"The widow of Balbriggan" is in trouble again.
