Vol. 118 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Greencastle Harbour.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state the reasons for the delay in proceeding with the dredging and repairing of Greencastle harbour in view of the fact that grants of £5,000 were made available both by the State and the local authority for the carrying out of this work.

Before works can be started at Greencastle detailed working drawings, specifications and firm estimate of cost will have to be prepared. A detailed survey of the site was undertaken recently for that purpose; the survey has been completed and the preparation of plans, etc., will shortly be in hands. It is not expected, however, that work will be started before the spring of next year.
