Mr. Boland

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state in respect of Laoighis and Offaly (a) the localities in which 1,302 acres of land were divided during the year 1948-49; and (b) the townlands for which schemes for acquisition and division are being prepared, with the names of the estates concerned.

(a) The localities are:—

OFFALY.—Clonbrin near Rathdangan; Clonmel and Clonbrown near Clonbullogue; and Coolacrease near Cadamstown.

LEIX.—Cromoge and Cashel near Portlaoighise; Derrinduff near Mountrath; Derrin near Borris.

It would be contrary to the public interest to furnish the information sought in part (b) of the question.
