Vol. 118 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Kilkenny Post Office.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he is now in a position to state when the reconstruction of the general post office in Kilkenny City for the purpose of providing adequate accommodation for the public and staff will be undertaken.

The architectural plans for the reconstruction of Kilkenny Post Office are in preparation, but I am unable to say yet when work will begin. The project will be hastened as much as possible, but the Department has a large programme of building work in hands and there are many offices where the need for additional accommodation is greater than at Kilkenny.
