Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Boats and Gear.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will indicate the number of boats and the value of gear allocated to Irish fishermen since the 18th February, 1948, and during the 21 months prior to that date.

The information asked for by the Deputy is as follows:

Since 18th February, 1948, ten boats have been provided for its members by the Sea Fisheries Association together with other gear to the value of £26,584. The corresponding figures in respect of the period of 21 months prior to that date are nine boats and £23,255.
