asked the Minister for Justice if he will state in respect of each of the years 1946, 1947, and 1948, (a) the number of convictions in the District Court for driving mechanically propelled vehicles while drunk; (b) the number of such cases in which imprisonment was awarded by district justices; (c) the number of appeals in such cases to the Circuit Court and (d) the number of such appeals in which the conviction was affirmed but sentences of imprisonment removed or suspended.
