Vol. 118 No. 16

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - St. Senan's Children's Hospital, Foynes.

asked the Minister for Health if he will state the circumstances under which children from Dungarvan, County Waterford, who were patients at St. Senan's Children's Hospital, Foynes, County Limerick, were, during the past few weeks, returned to their homes without any warning being given to their parents of their intended departure from the hospital, and whether he will take steps to prevent a repetition of this procedure.

Arrangements for the reception to and discharge from St. Senan's Children's Hospital, Foynes, of children from County Waterford is primarily a matter for the Waterford and Limerick County Councils. I have received no complaint in regard to those arrangements, but if the Deputy will furnish me privately with the names and addresses of the children referred to in the question, I shall have the matter investigated.
