Vol. 119 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Wages of Forestry Workers.

asked the Minister for Lands whether he is aware that forestry workers in Castlemartyr, Clonmult, and Rostillan, County Cork, are paid a wage of only £2 18s. 4d. per week, less 1/- per week for insurance; and, if so, whether, in view of the fact that road workers in these districts receive £3 6s. 0d. per week with better conditions, he will increase the wages of forestry workers to the latter rate.

The question of forestry workers' wages is at present under review.
