Vol. 119 No. 13

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Use of Plastic Rock in Omnibuses.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state the saving per vehicle obtained by using plastic rock instead of employing the traditional method in building omnibus bodies, and whether, in view of the fact that the use of this material has occasioned a serious labour dispute involving over 400 men in the employment of Córas Iompair Éireann and has retarded the production of Irish-built omnibus bodies, he will consider taking such steps as are necessary to prohibit the use of plastic rock in the construction and finishing of these vehicles, and if he will examine the position created by the dispute in the light of the approaching tourist season.
