Vol. 119 No. 13

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Housing at Castlemartyr.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state whether sanction has yet been given to the proposal of the South Cork Board of Health for the erection of a housing scheme at Castlemartyr, in view of the serious housing shortage in the district.

A proposal has been submitted by the Cork County Council for sanction to the acquisition by agreement of a site at Castlemartyr for the provision of a housing scheme which the council estimate should satisfy the housing needs of the village. The council have been asked to supply additional information with regard to the proposal. When this data has been received there will be no delay in conveying a decision to the local authority in the matter.
