Sites for a scheme of 67 houses at Mountmellick were included in a compulsory purchase Order which was confirmed in March, 1949. Plans for the scheme had then to be prepared by the consultant responsible for the design of the housing schemes throughout the county generally. These have now been prepared and approved. I understand that tenders will be invited at an early date.
