Written Answers. - Camcur Drainage.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state (1) whether arrangements and plans have been approved and sanctioned to enable the necessary drainage work on the Camcur River, near Kinnity, Offaly, to be started in the coming financial year, and (2) the estimated expenditure required.

(1) A proposal under the Local Authorities (Works) Act, 1949, submitted to my Department by the Offaly County Council for the widening of the river and the construction of sand traps near "The Walk" Bridge, Kinnity, County Offaly, has been approved.

(2) The estimated cost of the work is £4,000.
