Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Estate and Road Improvement.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state (a) the total allocation for the improvement of estates made by the Land Commission in the years 1938-39, 1948-49, 1949-50; (b) the amounts included in (a) for road construction or repair, and (c) if the information sought at (b) is not available, a very approximate percentage of the amount of (a) allocated for roads.

The amounts expended were: 1938-39, (a) £672,003, (c) 7 per cent.; 1948-49, (a) £276,244, (c) 37 per cent.; 1949-50, (a) £283,400, (c) 31 per cent.
