Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Motor Taxation Revenue.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state the revenue derived from motor taxation in the financial years 1944-45 to 1949-50 and the estimated revenue for 1950-51.

The reply is in the form of a tabular statement which, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, will be circulated with the Official Report.

The figures relating to the amounts collected by local licensing authorities in respect of vehicle duties, etc., are compiled for calendar and not for financial years, but the amounts correspond to those set out in the foregoing table for the financial years.
