Vol. 120 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - New National School (County Roscommon).

asked the Minister for Education if he will state the present position regarding the proposal for the erection of a new national school at Ballagh, Kilrooskey, County Roscommon, and when building will commence.

A suitable site for the erection of a new school to replace the existing Ballagh National School, Kilrooskey, County Roscommon, has been offered by the manager and the Department is in correspondence with him regarding certain preliminary arrangements which have still to be made before the question of sanctioning a grant from State funds towards the cost of the new school can be considered. In the circumstances I am unable to say at this stage when work on the erection of the new schoolhouse will commence.
