Vol. 120 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Acquisition of County Limerick Lands.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state the present position in regard to the proposal to acquire the Cleary estate, Temple, Athea, for sub-division.

The Land Commission inspected these lands and decided not to take any action towards resumption.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state the present position in regard to the proposal to have the lands of Mrs. Cora Griffin, Altarilla, Newbridge, Askeaton, County Limerick, acquired for sub-division.

I would refer the Deputy to my reply of 9th March last to a similar question regarding these lands.

I wish to place on record my complete and absolute disagreement with the terms of the Minister's reply. I, perhaps, cannot blame the Minister too much in this matter, because the reply relates to a decision made by the chairman of the Land Commission a few months ago.

That is not a question. That is a positive statement.

I bow to your ruling, Sir, and I shall refer to the matter in a less restricted atmosphere during the discussion on the Estimate for Lands.
