asked the Minister for Finance if he will give (a) the name of the insurance company or syndicate whose tender was accepted by the Commissioners for Public Works pursuant to a notice published by them in the newspapers on the 28th February, 1950, inviting tenders from insurance companies having registered offices in Ireland; (b) the amount of the premium or premiums which the commissioners have paid or agreed to pay in virtue of the said acceptance, and (c) the address in Ireland at which the said insurance company, or syndicate, has its registered office.

In reply to the first and third parts of the Deputy's question I would refer him to the answer given by me on 26th April, 1950, to a question from Deputy Brady on the same subject. The address of the Irish Overseas Insurance Brokers whose tender has been accepted is 44 Kildare Street, Dublin.
With regard to the second part of the question it would be contrary to established practice to disclose the amounts or details of tenders.
