Vol. 120 No. 14

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Manufacture of Bread.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will state whether he has any information that a product is being used by some bakers in the manufacture of bread which is considered injurious to the health of the people; and, if so, whether he intends taking any steps in the matter.

I am not aware of any evidence establishing conclusively that injury is being caused to the health of human beings by substances used by bakers in the making of bread. I am, however, having the whole matter of these substances considered by an expert committee.
