Vol. 121 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Cork Water Supplies.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state the cause of delay in starting work on the new water supply scheme at Kiskeam village, County Cork.

The drawings and specification for the water supply scheme proposed for Kiskeam were approved in March last. The submission of the bill of quantities and of the specification for the pumping plant is awaited.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state the cause of the delay in extending the water supply at Millstreet, County Cork.

Approval was given in August last to the acceptance of a tender for the extension of Millstreet water supply. I understand that the contractor has been unable to begin work yet, owing to difficulty in obtaining delivery of pipes.
