Vol. 121 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Public Telephones for County Cork.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs whether he has yet come to a decision on the question of installing public telephones at Nohoval, Ballyfeard, Ringasciddy, Inniscarra, Ovens, Farnanes, Kilmurry, Newcestown, Innishannon (Kilmacsimon Quay); and, if so, if he will indicate the decisions he has come to.

As I intimated in the reply to Deputy Collins on 14th March, 1950, it is intended to provide telephone call offices at Nohoval, Ballyfeard, Ovens, Farnanes and Kilmacsimon Quay within the next ten months. A call office will also be provided at Inniscarra within the same period.

There is already a call office at Innishannon.

It is not possible at present to say when call offices will be provided at Ringasciddy, Kilmurry and Newcestown.
