I would refer the Deputy to my reply to a similar question on the 5th April, 1949, when I said that it will be some years before this catchment can be reached in the arterial drainage programme.
Is the Parliamentary Secretary aware that, some 18 months ago, he made a promise to a deputation from that area that a scheme was about to be prepared and would be put into operation in 1949?
