Vol. 121 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Electricity Supply Board Charges.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether he is aware that there is grave dissatisfaction with the differential Electricity Supply Board charge as between Dublin City and County, and whether he will consider making representations to the Electricity Supply Board to have the county charge generally reduced to the city level.

I have no function in connection with the fixing of scales of charges for electricity. The responsibility in this matter rests under statute with the Electricity Supply Board.

Arising out of the Parliamentary Secretary's reply——

The Parliamentary Secretary says he has no function and, therefore, the matter does not arise. Ministers and Parliamentary Secretaries can only be questioned on matters for which they have responsibility. Question No. 13.

It is a semi-State concern, all the same.
