Mr. Murphy

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will sanction the following scheme which has been submitted by the Cork County Council, viz. No. 316 X. Grade A. under the provisions of the Local Authorities (Works) Act, 1949.

Grade A. at Adrigole, Bantry, County Cork, have been submitted by the Cork County Council to his Department for approval; and, if so, whether he will make arrangements to have them sanctioned.

Mr. Murphy

asked the Minister for Local Government whether he is aware that the following schemes under the Local Authorities (Works) Act, 1949, have been included by the Cork County Council in the programme for the West Cork district, viz., Nos. 73 X, 93 X, 109 X, 125 X and 165 X, Grade A, for execution in the present financial year and, if so, whether he will make immediate arrangements to have them sanctioned.

With the permission of the Ceann Comhairle I propose to take Questions Nos. 20, 21 and 22 together. The works referred to by the Deputy have been submitted by the Cork County Council under the Local Authorities (Works) Act. It is a matter for the local authority to decide whether they will be carried out under the current grant allocations.
