Vol. 122 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - New Youghal Bridge.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state whether he will implement the unanimous decision of the Cork County Council at their meeting held on the 19th instant to proceed with the trial boring for the proposed new Youghal bridge at the site of the existing bridge.

Approval to the county council's proposals for trial borings was issued on the 17th instant.

Is the Parliamentary Secretary prepared to accept the opinion of the Cork County Council and to issue instructions to his engineering department to carry out the boring on the proposed site of the old bridge?

They have approval now to go ahead.

On what site?

I am not aware which site.

My question refers to the site of the existing bridge, and I should like a definite answer on that point.

The proposals sent up by the Cork County Council were approved.
