Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Imports of Agricultural Machinery.

asked the Taoiseach if he will state the value of agricultural machinery imported during the years ended 31st December, 1947, 1948 and 1949.

The value of imports of agricultural machinery and parts (classified as such in the Official Import List) during each of the years 1947, 1948 and 1949 was: Machinery complete, £591,341, £710,463 and £434,726; parts, £221,078, £224,146 and £248,711 respectively.

In addition, imports of agricultural tractors and parts during these years amounted to: Tractors complete, £851,004, £855,082 and £536,969; parts, £114,283, £140,656 and £96,918 respectively.
