Vol. 122 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Glencree Turbo-Electric Station.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether, in view of the excellent supply of turf in the Glencree and Glenmacnask bogs, he will recommend to the Electricity Supply Board that they establish a turbo-electric station there for the Dublin city area.

I am informed by Bord na Móna that, because of their elevation, the bogs to which the Deputy refers are not considered to be suitable for development for the production of turf for use in an electricity generating station.
