asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state whether his Department received lay-out plans from Kerry County Council for a housing scheme at Ballyheigue, Tralee; and, if so, on what date and when he proposes to approve of the plans.

A sketch lay-out plan for 24 houses at Ballyheigue was submitted to my Department on the 12th May last. The Department requested on the 19th June that the question of water supply and sewerage should be investigated and the council indicated on 23rd June that this was being done. The council are being informed that there is no objection to the lay-out provided that, as a result of their investigations, they are satisfied as to the adequacy of the existing water supply and the feasibility of providing sewerage services for the scheme.
