Vol. 122 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Policy on Partition.

asked the Taoiseach if he has received from the central executive council of the anti-Partition League of Britain a request that a conference be held, representative of Irish organisations throughout the world, with a view to the framing of a definite policy on a Partition and, if so, if he will state the Government's attitude in the matter.

I have received no such request. I might add, however, that I understand that a request somewhat similar to that described by the Deputy was recently communicated to the committee of the Mansion House all-Party anti-Partition Conference.

Could the Taoiseach indicate at this stage whether the reply to which he referred in reply to a question by me has yet been sent to the Northern Ireland M.P.s?

It has been sent.

Is the Taoiseach in a position to indicate to the Dáil the nature of that reply?

This is, of course, quite a different question. I have not my papers with me.

That is obviously a different question.
