Vol. 123 No. 8

- Cloghan and Ferbane Sewerage Schemes.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state the cause of the delay in carrying out sewerage schemes at Cloghan and Ferbane, Offaly, and when it is proposed to proceed with them.

The provision of a sewerage scheme at Cloghan cannot be undertaken until a piped water supply is available. The provision of a water supply for Cloghan is under consideration by the local authority and tests are at present being made to establish the adequacy of the proposed source.

In regard to the proposed sewerage scheme at Ferbane, the submission of detailed drawings by the local authority is awaited. In the absence of the detailed drawings the proposal cannot be fully considered in the Department.
