asked the Minister for Local Government if he has yet received the result of the survey carried out by the Dublin Corporation on the question of erecting another bridge over the Liffey for the purpose of reducing the very considerable traffic congestion which at present exists throughout the city; and, if so, if he will give details.
- Liffey Bridge.
A report setting out the results of analysis of the data revealed by the survey has been received. The recommendation of immediate importance contained in the report is in favour of the construction of a bridge with a 60-foot wide carriageway opposite Moss Street. The city engineer, however, does not agree with the conclusions in the report and no proposal as to the position of a new bridge has yet been submitted by the Dublin Corporation.
