Vol. 124 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Prices Advisory Body.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether he will nominate a representative of the agricultural industry to serve on the Prices Advisory Body in view of the fact that it has responsibility for dealing with the prices of agricultural products and requirements, and that industrialists and both sections of labour are already represented.

In the case of agricultural products, producers' prices are excluded from the terms of the Prices and Charges (Standstill) Order, 1951, and I consider that the Prices Advisory Body as at present constituted adequately protects the interests of consumers of agricultural products.
