The procedure for giving effect to the corporation's proposals for a comprehensive extension of the city boundary on lines agreed with the county council was explained to the city manager in a letter from my Department on the 28th January, 1950. I am informed that a petition is being prepared accordingly, that considerable time had to be devoted to the definition of the proposed new boundary and that the documents are now nearly completed.
