Vol. 124 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Dublin Building Scheme.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will state when the inspector's report concerning the proposed building schemes in Cornelscourt and Kill-of-the-Grange will be available.

It is not clear to what report the Deputy refers. The position in regard to the housing schemes he mentions is as follows:—

The compulsory acquisition of the two sites was authorised by my order dated 10th May, 1950. A lay-out plan submitted by the Dublin County Council for a proposed 62-house scheme at Cornelscourt has been approved by me, subject to the acquisition of a plot of land for the purpose of providing an access road to site.

Lay-out and development plans for a proposed 100-house scheme at Kill-of-the-Grange have also been approved and I understand that the county council have invited tenders for development work in connection with that scheme.

House plans proposed for use in both schemes were received in my Department on 20th February, 1951, and are being examined. A decision in the matter will issue to the county council within the next week.
