Vol. 124 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Tomato Growing.

asked the Minister for Agriculture whether he is aware that the tomato growers in County Dublin are afraid to grow tomatoes this year, due to the Minister's attitude last year in allowing the market to be made useless for home growers by the importation of Dutch tomatoes; and, if so, whether he will give growers an assurance that there will be a remunerative market for homegrown tomatoes this year.

The Deputy asked a somewhat similar question on the 22nd February, 1950, and I would refer him to the reply given by me on that occasion.
