Meath Hospital Bill, 1950—From the Seanad.

The Dáil went into Committee to consider amendments from the Seanad.

I move that the Committee agree with the Seanad in amendment No. 1:—

In sub-section (1), all words after the word "before" in line 45, to the end of the sub-section deleted and the following words: "the passing of this Act shall cease to hold office on the passing of this Act" substituted.

These amendments are drafting amendments.

I move that the Committee agree with the Seanad in amendment No. 2:—

In sub-section (2), line 1, the word "between" deleted and the words "commencing on the date of" substituted, and in line 2, the words "the day next after" deleted and the words "ending on" substituted.

I move that the Committee agree with the Seanad in amendment No. 3:—

In sub-section (5), line 38, the words "In the first election year" deleted, and in lines 44 to 46, the words "the Hospital Corporation members shall be elected by vote of the persons qualified to vote at the election and" deleted.

I move that the Committee agree with the Seanad in amendment No. 4:—

In sub-section (7), line 58, the words "joint committee" deleted and the word "Hospital" substituted.

I move that the Committee agree with the Seanad in amendment No. 5:—

Sub-section (2) deleted.

I move that the Committee agree with the Seanad in amendment No. 6:—

In line 45, the words "of the Hospital" deleted.
