asked the Minister for Health if he will indicate whether a contract has been made for the foundations of the regional sanatorium at Sarsfieldscourt, Cork; and, if so, when is it hoped to have them completed, when it is intended to invite tenders for the building of the sanatorium and the approximate expected date of completion.

(i) The contract for the foundations, underbuilding and incidental works at the Southern Regional Sanatorium, Sarsfieldscourt, County Cork, was signed on 14th November, 1950, and this work is due for completion on the 13th November, 1951; (ii) it is intended to invite tenders for the superstructure when the works now in progress are nearing completion; (iii) it is hoped that the building of the sanatorium will be completed by the end of 1954.
