Vol. 125 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Imports of Buses.

Major de Valera

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he will state whether orders have been placed during the years 1949, 1950 and 1951, to date, with any firm in Great Britain for Buses to be supplied to Córas Iompair Éireann; and, if so, if he will state (a) with what firms such orders were placed; (b) how many buses were ordered, and (c) the price per bus.

Orders for buses were placed by Córas Iompair Éireann, all with Messrs. Leyland, as follows:—

1949, 50 complete buses, 180 chassis; 1950, nil; 1951, 209 chassis.

I do not think it would be desirable to furnish particulars with regard to the prices.
