Vol. 125 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Curragh Camp Contract.

asked the Minister for Defence whether he received a letter dated 4th February, 1951, from Mr. Desmond Hunter in connection with a contract placed by the Department with Messrs. W.D. Hunter & Co., for work on the water tower. Curragh Camp; and, if so, what action he has taken or proposes to take in the matter.

The answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. I do not propose to take any action in regard to the letter mentioned. My Department's position regarding the contract which was placed with Messrs. W.D. Hunter and Co. for the repointing of the water tower, Curragh Training Camp, and which the firm failed to complete, has been repeatedly explained to Mr. Desmond Hunter and to various persons who have written on his behalf.
